Black Beans and Rice, Inc. was conceived in 1996 by Margarita Carreras. Using her international background to inspire her visual sense of graphics she created a fresh approach to decorative and functional home accessories. Her pieces bring you a unique sense of color and form through her process of reverse hand painting on glass.
Art Under Glass is a self-taught, hand painted technique using acrylics, gold leaf, and other mediums. Each piece conveys a bold powerful graphic statement combining texture, color and movement inducing a visual richness and depth. Original in style her work evokes a sensual interpretation of the theme she uses.
